Seminars

Know-how transfer at its best: Trendsetting and informative!

PICS Belgium continuously organises a series of trendsetting seminars and study days, in which the most recent developments in the specialty area of production and distribution logistics are covered. These seminars usually last a half or a full day, and are organised around a topic of current interest.

Service suppliers and software vendors are also covered in these PICS seminars, whereby PICS makes sure that these study days are kept as neutral as possible and do not turn into a purely commercial event. Everyone active in the market can participate in PICS seminars, insofar as they fulfil the PICS regulations.

In so-called ‘vendor seminars’, a supplier of IT applications or services in the specialty area gets the opportunity to explain his vision on concrete problems. This explanation is linked to a practice-oriented report, including a subsequent discussion between speakers and listeners, which is moderated by PICS. A snack and a drink are offered at the close of the event.

During the ‘study days’, a number of eminent speakers are given the opportunity of presenting their vision on a topic of current interest for the specialty area, a presentation that is supplemented with practice-oriented reports, which illustrate the problem area from an implementation standpoint.
