Jan Baan has over 45 years of entrepreneurial and business leadership experience in the software industry. Internationally recognized for his pioneering role in the enterprise software industry. In 1978, he founded Baan Company, which quickly became a leading provider of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, competing successfully with giants like SAP and Oracle. Under his leadership, Baan Company transformed the ERP landscape and set new standards for business applications worldwide. In the early 2000s, Baan founded Cordys, bridging traditional ERP systems with the internet and championing web-based solutions. His commitment to innovation continued with Vanenburg, a company focused on crafting forward-thinking business solutions. In 2021, Vanenburg rebranded as Rappit, a platform creating a new layer of business software designed to help organizations respond faster, operate smarter, and innovate continuously.
