Day 1

Introduction to lean, concept and background of detecting waste using various techniques such as flow mapping, problem definition, detection of opportunities, and techniques for developing these.
Theory interspersed with games and examples.
Round 1 of the case and introduction to “homework” for your own case.

Day 2

Case discussion, root cause analysis, and exercises.
Round two of the case.
Lean Toolbox techniques for tackling waste and application to own case.

Day 3

Discussion of progress and conclusions for own case.
Round 3 of the case.
Implementation of changes, follow-up, and measurement tools.
Standardization and permanent integration of changes.
Digital solutions for lean warehousing.
Lessons learned and conclusion.

Jan De Kimpe

Supply chain and logistics expert who has worked for Het Volk, KPMG, and IBM BCS before founding
Logisol Pro in 2002. He has led numerous projects across various sectors, specializing in warehousing, transportation and inventory optimization. Affiliated with ART4L since 2018, he teaches at KU Leuven and IESEG, and chairs PICS Belgium. He has collaborated with clients such as J&J, Kramp, and Atlas Copco.
