Seminar Cybersecurity in the Supply Chain
Today, supply chains are under pressure caused by material shortages and unreliable lead times. But this is not the only problem affecting supply chains around the globe. Research illustrates that the number of cyberattacks on supply chains increased by 51% between July and December 2021. With the number of attacks increasing during this time frame, it is more important than ever for organisations to reduce the risks their supply chains may be under to avoid being attacked. Needless to say that a supply chain cyberattack can stop a company from functioning, as recent examples have shown.
The main reason why supply chains don’t have the right protective measures against cyberattacks set up is because supply chain managers don’t monitor and assess the risks and thus don’t stipulate standards to their supply chain partners, being it suppliers, customers or 3PL.
With this seminar, PICS Belgium and Value Chain want to bring forward this topic to supply chain managers, not only to create awareness, but also to integrate solutions when discussing with supply chain partners. This is not only an IT technical subject, but part of good supply chain management.
