Supply Chain Café: Resilient planning in the supply chain
Today’s supply chain uncertainties make resilient planning a must.
Supply Chain Café by PICS Belgium #8
Supply Chain Café by PICS Belgium is a new initiative of PICS Belgium, oriented to members and domain experts, with the goal to distribute knowhow discussing amongst peers. The PICS Supply chain Cafés are 1 hour’s interactive lunch sessions, where an industry expert is invited to present a supply chain topic in 20 minutes, followed by a lively debate among all participants.
Resilient planning in the supply chain
Supply chains are increasingly subject to uncertainty ; the impact of COVID-19 has led to shortages of different kinds of resources and materials, natural disasters are increasingly disrupting supply chain operations and geopolitical evolutions have made energy costs explode. Supply chain professionals are constantly struggling with strategies and tactics how to deal with these uncertainties, trying to find a balance between assuring a high service to the market while keeping the cost under control.
In this Supply Chain Café, we want to fuel this discussion by looking at options how supply chains can be made more resilient. The topic will be introduced by Koen Cobbaert, Lead Solution Scientist for LOP.ai, a Bluecrux platform that focusses on resilient planning. Koen will then facilitate the discussion that hopefully engenders new insights for yourself and your company.
