The Basics of Forecasting

Many different things come into the picture within Demand Planning & Forecasting. It is important to understand why we forecast and what the basic building blocks are of a good forecast process.

During this day we will cover the following topics:

Why and when to Forecast
The building blocks of good Forecasting
Multi-level forecasting or not
Forecast statistics : different quantitative & qualitative techniques

Day 2

Improving the base Forecast

A good forecast process covers much more than statistics on historical data. It is crucial to improve the statistics with real business knowledge, to learn from previous errors and to collaborate within and outside the own organization.

During this day we will cover the following topics:

Adding Business Intelligence & Consensus Forecasts
Demand management & Forecast consumption
Performance measurement & Forecast Accuracy
Forecast process & Organization
New developments : Demand Sensing, Artificial Intelligence
